The Salinas Lagoon is a half-day excursion departing from Arequipa that explores the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve. The tour includes views of volcanoes, high Andean flora and fauna, and the lagoon itself, as well as the Chilitia salt flat and Mariposa hot springs.

Itinerary Summary:
Pickup and drop-off: Depart from Arequipa at 6:00 AM, heading to the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
Volcano Viewpoint: Stop to observe the guardian volcanoes of Arequipa and the pre-Inca terraces of Chiguata.
National Reserve: Visit the Queñuas Forest and observe high Andean flora and fauna, including the yareta.
Zimbral Waterhole: Observe natural water seepage.
Salinas Lagoon: Ascent to the Qaqa Wasi viewpoint to appreciate the lagoon, the bodies of water, and spot birds, llamas, and vicuñas.
Chilitia Salt Flat: Visit and take photos at the salt flat.
Return: Return to Arequipa at approximately 2:00 PM.
